Manufacturing Sample
We’ve spent the past month going back and forth with our manufacturer to finalize production components. We’re expecting to receive a sample within the next week. Here’s a picture they sent us:

We can’t wait to get our hands on it to see how the components look and feel in person. Most of what we’ve been working on is adapting our print files to our manufacturer’s, as well as finalizing all components. To give you a bit more depth, one of the actions we did was resizing the instructions to better fit the box’s length, when folded down.

Next Steps
Production will start after we receive the sample and fix things up, which will likely be around the beginning of August. This puts us on track for a November fulfillment, though we're still planning for December in case of unexpected delays.

You’ll still be able to change your shipping address and credit card info until a few weeks before fulfillment. If you’re a Curious Carl, we’re locking orders to solidify our manufacturing quantity.
Reach out to [email protected] if you haven’t yet completed your survey. You must complete this survey in order to receive your pledge reward. Otherwise, we will not have your shipping address or fee.
As a reminder, we want to be completely transparent that shipping fees have increased due to COVID-19. We’re not charging your credit card for your BackerKit survey until a few weeks before fulfillment (October-November). We’re doing this because we’re hoping shipping prices will drop by then, due to less COVID-19 activity. We’re also actively looking at other fulfillment vendors for potentially lower costs.

Your BackerKit survey has been emailed to you! You must complete this survey in order to receive your pledge reward. The survey deadline is 11:59pm PST Friday, June 12th. This survey is important because we need you to provide us with a shipping address. It also allows you to add on additional goodies! Kickstarter-exclusive items will only be available during this campaign, we won’t be making anymore after this! Be aware that additional add-ons means additional shipping because of handling fees, as well as bigger boxes.

Hope everyone had a Happy Mudder’s Day!
BackerKit Surveys
We’re expecting to send out BackerKit surveys this week. We were hoping to send these last week, but had to finalize the ice cream cone hat shipping method. Right now, we’re planning on shipping the hats in poster tubes! This avoids us having to fold the hats and risk ruining them. We’re waiting on our fulfillment vendor to send us updated shipping pricing, which we’ll then use to update our BackerKit survey, get BackerKit’s approval, and send the survey out to you.
For those of you who have never used BackerKit before, or Kickstarter in general, this survey is important because it determines shipping (which we did not yet charge on Kickstarter) and lets you add additional stuff. You’ll be charged shipping based on the address you enter in when you fill out the survey, but will be able to change your delivery address all the way until delivery (in case you move or want your stuff delivered elsewhere).

The acrylic standee prototypes finally made their way to our hands and they’re awesome! The quality feels great and the stands are sturdy.
